Water feature

It was a bright but chilly day, ideal for a bowl of spicy squash soup at Lunch Club. There was also tomato soup on the menu and both went down very well. Sadly, we only had half our usual number of customers for various reasons such as illness and holidays. On the plus side, there were half the amount of dishes to wash!
In the afternoon Nick and I went over to the Community Orchard so that Nick could add the finishing touches to the water feature which he has been constructing. Once I had helped him with the placing of the toadstools, Bertie and I went for a walk in the sunshine. Job done, the three of us headed for home and within half and hour the sunshine had disappeared behind some dark clouds, the wind had got stronger and the hailstones were rapping on the window and gathering on the lawn.
