Another Chapter Finished

So, today, at last (has been in solicitors hands since May) I completed on the sale of the flat. It has been the most stressful time and although a twinge of sadness, I am relieved that it's all done and dusted. This morning I met up with neighbour Don (a good egg if ever thee was one) and read the gas and electric meters. I then spent 20 minutes on the phone (has to be done) with the British Gas call centre in Cape Town. Apart from the "helper" there calling me "darling" which I was a little uncomfortable about, all was, eventually sorted. (I think). I took a final walk around the flat. Too many ghosts. So I locked up and then Don and I went for lunch at The Frog. Which was lovely.

Then I drove home, then to pick up Layla from Doggy Day Care and then down to the vet to have the cut on her carpel pad (the one behind the dew claw) checked out. The vet wasn't worried so we just ahe to keep it clean and keep an eye on it. 
Time to call it a day now i think.
