Autumn garland

We escaped the snow but my goodness it was grim. A thin cold rain, lazy wind and uniformly grey lowering skies.

Did it deter us? It ought to have done but it didn’t. I went running (ahmm… shuffling) after talking to a former colleague from the prison service. After lunch we went for a walk.

The electrician came today and installed the ceiling lights in the bedroom we’ve had decorated. He also replaced sockets and switches. He installed a great device to switch on the studio’s outside lights from inside using a wireless kinetic switch. Its magic!

Later the plumber came to put the radiator back on the wall and connect it all up. A bit of painting still to do and uPVC edging around the window to finish off. Then we can get the carpets cleaned and it’s done.

Then we start on the utility room. Maybe it will all be done before we leave on our Christmas adventures. It’s all something we should have done ages ago.l and we’re not going to reap the full benefits!
