Bake
I was up early to take the car down to finally get the sign off on the MOT. I assumed since they’d asked me to be there at 8am they’d just check the lights and sign me off, but turned out I had to leave it there and walk home. Very chilly but not snowing like it was in MK and in north London where I saw a video of Mx dashing around the garden before school in his dressing gown excitedly singing Alleluia!
I decided (rather late!) to make a Christmas cake, so got all the fruit soaking then carried on to do some more baking and made some spelt and seed crackers, a batch of shortbread and some cherry and coconut flapjacks. Also did some ironing, went back to collect the car, and did some more admin for P, this time for his Australian tax return, now that someone from their office has managed to break through the problems we were having contacting each other.
Chatted to A on her way home after two days of interviewing. She’d learned a lot about the process (and about herself!) but was pretty shattered and looking forward to working from home tomorrow so avoiding the icy roads and darkness on her usual commute.
