Cabbage (Day 3480)
My sciatica was fairly brutal when I woke up this morning despite the painkillers. I got myself organised and slithered off to town in the snow and carried on with the hot water cylinder instal I started yesterday.
Since I have been on painkillers for a week and they haven't made much difference, I decided to give the GP surgery a call. The fabulous new system for appointments means that you have to phone in the morning, a doctor will phone you back and carry out a telephone consultation and will either prescribe treatment or ask you to come in for a face to face appointment. Today I actually got to see a doctor and have been given more painkillers to try.
I was going to wait until lunchtime to collect the new drugs, but my beautiful wife was in the area, and did a drug run for me. After an hour or so the pain had eased off a fair bit, which made the afternoon's work much easier.
The afternoon was spent doing the worst bit of the instal - insulating all of the pipework and clearing up.
Back home without any pics again I snapped a shot or two of an ornamental cabbage before dosing myself with more painkillers.
