A day with loose ends
that I would love to tie up
and then say "FINISHED"!!!

I was up having my coffee just after 7. I'd had hopes to get out to do some sketching and perhaps some painting. I haven't accomplished anything 'arty' for many months now. I waited for the yard crew to turn up to complete things, but at 9:30 I thought I'd waited long enough. I drove off to have a look at my favourite mesquite tree on the wash.

I got a photo of the  neighbourhood around my mesquite tree and the wash. I see that this route is very busy with heavy trucks hauling sand/gravel. A water truck has made passes to soak down the gravel road to keep the dust down, but it's turned the roadway into a shallow mud puddle.

I soon decided I'd rather go home than fend with traffic and a mud bog. When I arrived home, the yard crew was already in my driveway. I left them to it and went inside with my camera. I'm told they will 'finish' tomorrow. (already spread over 5 days)

In the absence of any art efforts being made this morning, I have called on my friends Monet, Picasso and Van Gogh (courtesy of Fotor's art effects) to provide the interpretations of my mesquite tree.

I'm home for the day. Friends from Oregon should be arriving back today. I will be so pleased to see them!
