The View from Clieves Hills.

Looking west from this rising ground gives an idea of the intensively farmed countryside of south-west Lancashire.
On the horizon the Pinewoods can just be seen, they are situated on the edge of the coast. These trees were planted about 100 years ago to help to stabilize the sandy coastal strip.
