Great Thoughts
I was retrieving some leaves and grasses that I have had pressing for a while ready for use in printing, when I suddenly realised that the old book, within whose pages were my leaves, was the same book I haven been using for the same purpose since I was a child.
It's a huge, thick, heavy book and its spine is coming apart. It appears to be a bound volume of a magazine called 'Great Thoughts'. This volume has the whole of 1934 copies.
In all the years and years I have been using it as a 'press' I can't think that I have ever actually looked at the text. Some of the adverts are interesting, but otherwise it is pretty dry stuff.
I wonder how on earth I came to have it in the first place. I have no idea.
I have had a day of stitching - Gordon took himself off to see Gladiator 2 - In was asked if I wanted to go . . .
