A rather portly squirrel

I spotted it on the ground and then it climbed about half way up the tree and then settled for quite a few minutes. I thought at first that it was a pregnant female but checking on Google informed me that the first litter is usually born late February/March and the gestation period is about 45 days ..... so this is just one fat squirrel.

Car windows needed scraping this morning but I have no complaints about the weather ...... bright and frosty .... I love it.
