Sigiriya Sri Lanka day 2

Arrived yesterday afternoon, the flight from Heathrow was endured but not pleasant as I need to stretch my legs and I couldn’t. The air flight attendants looked stunning in their peacock print dresses and immaculate make up. I felt so tired and my eyes were so dry!
After staying one night in a lovely hotel with very friendly attentive staff where we took the opportunity to use the swimming pool, and we set off this morning and stopped at Dambulla to see 5 caves full of huge carved Buddhas . Renovated in the 8th century. The ceilings were painted too.
