Cardiff Castle
My annual visit to Cardiff, on a local coach company's Christmas Shopper. I met up with my two Granddaughters for lunch, my treat, they choose the venue. The city centre was busy, the Christmas Market stalls were open, and there were also street vendors selling Welsh and Australian Rugby souvenirs as there was a big rugby match on.
E and I started with a quiet coffee and chat in the café in Waterstones, as R was delayed by traffic, before the three of us headed for lunch. It was lovely to see them. We then wandered over to the Castle grounds as it was already set up for Christmas. There was a bit of dampness in the air. All too quickly it was time to head back to pick up the coach for the journey home. There was a half hour delay, as the city centre was closed down to traffic because of the match, and the coach driver had to find another route to get back to where we were waiting. Arrived back home just after 8pm. a glass of wine and a snack supper while I watched the Strictly results on iPlayer then headed for an early night :-)
