Stop Portland waste Incinerator
I went on a demo this morning with more than 1000 people demonstrating against the Portland waste incinerator that has been given the go ahead to be built. All the local councils and the vast majority of local people are against it. It’s on a world heritage site and the polluting fumes will be blown towards us with the prevailing winds. A Panorama programme showed these incinerators are as bad as burning coal.
In the afternoon we went to Blue Pool. Lovely even in the gloomy weather with the pool looking grey. On the way back we stopped at the RSPB site at Lodmoor. It was at exactly the right time for the starting murmuration. It was an amazing display but a little far away for my iphone to take a decent photo. I will post on another day when I can get closer.
