Day 15 - at sea. Mostly food.
Another day at sea. JR managed to get up and go to the gym. I did not. We skipped breakfast, and went straight to the talk at 10am. It was about Thailand, formerly Siam. These talks have been most informative, but don’t ask me any facts
Then we went straight to a HUGE Sunday brunch buffet! The effort they put into treating us is incredible. People pile their plates up with all sorts, but I just had a banana crepe, a small wedge of French toast and four pieces of sushi.
In the afternoon we went to check out the infinity pool, which is through the spa area. But we decided to go to the main pool. Bad luck. All the loungers, though mostly empty, had things left on them - what you’re NOT meant to do, according to pool etiquette.
No worries - we found a couple of spare ones on the upper deck for a bit of a relax in the shade. But it was too far for me to stagger down the stairs and then to the shallow end of the pool with the easy sit-on steps.
Then, at 2pm we popped to the theatre talk again - this time ‘The History of Cruising’.
So… we then visited the ‘Future Cruise Manager’… just lookin’… But we have been so impressed with this cruise line… Watch this space!
A bottle of wine from room service, and a pleasant afternoon on our warm, breezy balcony, away from the air con.
Nipped in to the bar before dinner, where we met up with a couple of American chaps for a fun evening. Alan and I compared health issues, while JR and Bill discussed dogs. These two chaps have cruised absolutely everywhere over the past several years!
Not many photos today - so it’s a selection of Sunday brunch shots of complete over-indulgence. And, rest assured, I did not touch any of these delicacies.
No posh dinner tonight, just a casual restrained main course of fish. NO dessert. Had to stay awake for the concert tonight - the wee lass from Edinburgh. I spotted her at lunch yesterday - actually I didn’t, I had to have her pointed out to me. Out of her glamorous makeup , hair piled up, and fabulous dresses, she was just a wee lassie in shorts and a tee shirt, sitting reading a book over her lunch…
