Rolling home...
Woke just after 9.30am after a good sleep. Yay!
Phoned stepdad John to wish him happy birthday and finalise arrangements for Monday when D and I are taking him and Norma out for a birthday lunch.
Ele and I arrived downstairs at the same time. Just tea and a slice of toast as Agnes was coming up and we were heading to the Cairn for lunch.
Agnes arrived right on time, just before 2pm, and we headed out at the same time as Alan and Blake. They were heading to the Christmas Shop in Crieff (but just to browse as Alan bought a load of decorations yesterday in B&M, much cheaper! :-)
Got to the hotel a couple of minutes later were soon deep in chat in the very lovely surroundings :-)
Lunch ordered (wild mushroom tagliatelle for Agnes and Chicken Caesar salads for Ele and I) we enjoyed a lovely afternoon before heading back home just after 5pm.
Got settled down to watch Strictly. We were still full from lunch so none of us wanted a dinner. Ended up having French toast! lol!
Also watched two episodes of Boybands Forever, a searingly honest and rather heartbreaking look into the lives of boybands of the 90s and 00s and how they were treated by their management companies and expected to work 24-7 for months and months on end. Sad watching the young lads' dreams become a nightmare and interesting to hear their thoughts as grown men, all of them clearly still hurting from the experience.
Continued to chat, putting the world to rights till after midnight. A lovely day :-)
No word from the Lake District today but assuming all is well.
