This is what you get if you combine an image taken at 10 to 3 in the afternoon with one taken three miles along the coast at 10 past 4, both looking in the direction of Edinburgh.
It has done wonders for the sky and given the horizon an ethereal effect.
The highest hill is Arthur's Seat and to its right you see Salisbury Crags. Both are remnants of volcanic activity around 340 million years ago.
