Young Ralph’s Cross

A trip to Durham today for some urban orienteering. We started on the University campus before crossing the river for some tricky orienteers near the Cathedral. Really enjoyed my return to urban orienteering.

We took a different route home over the moors. A quick pit stop to take this photo of one of the many moorland crosses that are found on the moors. The base is earlier than the top and thought to date from around 1100. The top was repaired in the 18th century.
