Missed

A sociable day. I spent it all preparing for lunch with C&W and L&P and then eating and chatting with them into the early evening. We talked about all sorts: house renovations, fly fishing, Agas, supermarket buying practices, language learning, honey farming, New Zealand, ‘next big things’ and Angela Merkel amongst other things.
This was the lunch that had to be postponed when I was ill, and I was pleased we could rearrange as everyone got on well and it was a lovely day. I meant to take a photo of the table or the food but didn’t get a chance so you have a glimpse of the fireplace candles and flowers instead.
