melanistic squirrel and melancholy day

I've been so giddy about having my floors redone and reimagining how I am going to put the house back together, so I was surprised to be ambushed by a few tears today. We had communion at church today, and that was always a special time to share with Duncan. Suddenly I missed him like crazy. And I'm sure it has something to do with the holidays just right around the corner, too.
