Berry Nice
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Peat and Diesel last night - they really live up to their live reputation and it was lovely seeing the Town Hall filled to capacity with people having a good time. After the show we headed into one of the bars into to a Perth-based playing. It was needless to say packed but a couple who left just after we arrived very kindly gave us their seats. (There is a theme emerging .... )
Today has been partly more down to earth - I have caught up with admin for different local groups I am involved. This is nice feeling and means I now have time next week to focus on final preparations for a talk I am giving with VC to the local history group next weekend.
We have also been looking ahead and have booked an (indulgent) island break for the end of February, and our ferries and hotels for a trip to Germany followed by a visit to my sister in the Netherlands in April.
That will probably do us for holidays together until the autumn as we like being here in the spring and summer. However I am also hoping to do a short course (or two) at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig over the summer.
As a consequence, the only time I went out today was to post a letter when I took a picture of our neighbour's rowan tree. There three or four bull finches feeding themselves but thy fly away on my approach. It was too cold to wait for them to return.
