Immaculate Vines

Most of the vines in the Meadowbank Vineyards have been pruned and "wrapped". Wrapping the vines consists of laying the canes along the "fruiting" wire and then securing them with "twisty ties". Once that process has been completed the vineyards take on a very tidy and orderly appearance.
However, with approximately 23,000 hectares of current vineyards in Marlborough there are still many hectares waiting to be pruned. As spring and bud-burst nears there will be a race against time to get all the pruning and wrapping completed.
Compared with the "Tangle of Vines" as depicted in a blip back on the 7th of June today's image shows grapevines which look immaculate. The Nik processing I have used shows up more detail in the blue mountains of the distant Richmond Range.
