Every Night Is Followed By Sunrise

After yesterday's downpours and thunderstorms I wasn't sure what kind of weather I would get up to this morning. I went to sleep with the sound of rain falling outside but when I woke up all was quiet. I ventured out, back to Cardwell Bay and the ferry terminal wearing a full length waterproof raincoat just in case.

It was dry when I arrived so I took some shots of the lights on the water round the bay waiting for sunrise at 5.13am to see if the lighter cloud on the horizon wold lift and the sun would, by some miracle, peep through. It wasn't to be, instead the rain is on again and it is drumming on the roof of the car as I type.

Hoping the floods have subsided somewhat (the tide is quite low) as I'm driving Carlos in to work, then going to the funeral of a friend's mum then spending the day in work myself before a quiet evening chilling out with the children.

Jut now it's time for a wee snooze.
