Grand Pre

One of my favorite craft shows is on in the valley this weekend. One of the elementary schools organizes it, and for the vendors it is usually one of the best weekends of the craft show season. I decided to go there today.

I thought about stopping at another craft show, but they had the parking lot barricaded off. So you had a choice, find parking in downtown Wolfville, which does not have much parking, or go up the hill opposite the arena and try to find parking there. It would require walking up a steep hill to return to your vehicle. I didn't bother trying to find parking elsewhere. I messaged their FB page after I got home, and suggested they start a shuttle service for next year. The show that I did go to has a shuttle service as there is limited parking at the school. So if a show run by volunteers can do it, a much higher priced show should be able to provide the same service.

I did buy a painting of a blue jay this morning. I have bought from the same artist in the past. She paints animals and birds on slabs of wood.

On the way home I decided to stop and have a walk around Grand Pre. I was watching an eagle from the trail, and turned to head back to my truck when I looked thru the hedge and decided this view of the church would make a good photo.

More packing done this evening and I went thru one of my kitchen cupboards checking the best before dates on everything. And wondering why I didn't do that when I moved here 2 years ago. Some things were dated from 2018 and 2019. Anything past the best before date is going in the garbage this week. I checked the self cleaning function on the oven and it actually works. That will be one less thing that the cleaner has to do when she comes.
