TIMBERRRRR!!

Tree felling day!! Sadly they had to come down but will be replaced by some smaller trees.

First thing this morning The Rev took Mums car to Webuyanycar …they had quoted £600 but when he got there they offered £53!!! It’s got low mileage and a new clutch!!! He didn’t accept.
Then it was time to play with a new hire toy… Nora the pneumatic drill!!! ( much more fun than Ivor the iron from Thursday!! ) I did put on safety goggle straight after this photo was taken.
Our tree surgeon friend arrived at 11 and within a hour the large oak tree was trimmed and the smaller oak (20+ft) was felled. It was all quite tense and luckily no fence or neighbours were hurt!!!!
I then collected Mum and delivered her to the hairdressers, did some shopping for Dan and her then collected her again. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to stop as I had to get home for a house viewing. They said all the right positive things about our lovely home but who knows!!
Now chilling on the sofa after a busy day.

we have been so lucky with the dry weather for the last month to have made great headway outside but I’m glad it gets dark by 4 so we are forced to stop.
