Kitty's Crofter Carrier

Sleet, snow and haily-puckles this morning, then cold  rainy showers the rest of the day.  That cold gale still blowing all day, eased slightly tonight.

Up at 5am, early street beat cleaning for me today.  I was working with James, we soon got the rounds done.  A good morning to crack on with the weekend cleaning, also working in the bathroom too, currently now without a bathroom sink.  Popped down to mam's this afternoon, only dad home.  Supermarket shopping on our way home.  A fairly quiet night at home, managed to walk and bath Sammy, then an early night again.  

Kitty had to go back to the vet this morning.  It was just for a routine check up, they were happy with her progress after the operation.  I didn't get cousin Dawna's carrier this time, and hoped to get mam's one.  Unfortunately Bandit destroyed their carrier, he's a big cat.  Dad still had the door, and made a quick makeshift carrier, which served the job well.  Crofters always come up with wonderful solutions to daily problems, this time it was a five litre drum with the side cut out.  Just a shame that rope wasn't baler twine.  The staff at the vets were amused, they are used to seeing such solutions when out in the croft.  Kitty in her personalised carrier, Shetland Vets - Scalloway Surgery, Blydoit, Scalloway.
