La Luna……
A day of this and that.
Round all the cattle by half 9 , then a quick muck out of the stock trailer and put the decks in so wee brother could cart the 143 blackie ewe lambs down the road to their winter grazing.
I spent a while taking bales of straw out to various fields of cows to eat then set about shifting some more slurry from the slatted shed.
Was all going to plan until I had a senior moment and forgot to disconnect the suction hose from the tanker before I reversed away up the yard. Bugger. End result was a ruined suction hose and a damaged gate valve on the tanker. The only good thing was it didn't snap off and flood the place with 2000 gallons of slurry.
So ,end of that job,and I'll now need to source a new valve for about £150 quid and a new suction hose for about the same.
And when I think of all the bollockings we gave my dad for doing things like that when he was my age and we were youngsters and knew best about everything!
Ho hum......
