The Betsey Trotwood

Another quirky corner of Farringdon.

Betsey Trotwood was a Charles Dickens' character (he lived for a while about 10 minutes' walk away). She was David Copperfield's great aunt and she hated boys.

The pub was called The Butcher's Arms until 1983 (it's just up the road from Smithfield Meat Market).

It's precisely on top of the tube and train lines coming out of Farringdon Station.
