Slow

I got up earlier today and drove over to Musselburgh to the garage to pick up the elusive new lights for the number plate. They still didn’t work though so they suggested I leave it with them for a while so they could sort it out and so I walked across the river to Company Bakery which is somewhere I’d heard about but never been. Delicious coffee and a raisin and orange scone with rather lovely whipped butter and home made jam. I also bought a lovely loaf to take home for the weekend. I’d barely sat down with it when the garage phoned to say they’d got the lights sorted so after I’d finished and had a wander around the mill complex (with a Crolla restaurant) I walked back and collected the car then went to Tesco’s as I had some vouchers to use (and remembered to take them with me!). Did the rest of the shopping for Sunday’s lunch and restocked various pantry staples that I’d run low on. Good to not be in a rush.
Home and unpacked everything then sorted out my lists and surfed online a bit. Out for an after work drink with R and chat about the usual work stress, gigs, tours and what counts as holiday, then I collected A’s bag from her at her after conference dinner before they go out for their annual knees up…no doubt she’ll be staggering home in the early hours so I hope she doesn’t wake me up!
Quiet evening in…I didn’t have supper as we’d eaten too many crisps so just made do with a sandwich with the tasty loaf I’d bought.
