Panic and relief

I am very attached to these earrings which I wear almost every day. I dread losing them so am always on the lookout to spot something very similar to stash away in case I lose one.

My heart sank when I was taking my jewellery off at the end of the day as in one ear there was just a back clinging on! It did well to stay put in the absence of the post!

I had been to the hairdresser so think it must have come loose there and then dropped somewhere so I thought it was lost for good. But I checked the study where I had been working after my lunchtime hairdresser trip and found it on the floor- yippee!

Now I will have to remember to check them properly on haircut days or take them off beforehand.

They are only simple silver earrings but they are a nice thick tapered shape and so haven’t found a close enough alternative pair yet.
