Flat Calm

Delivering this Rustler 36 from Faro, Portugal to Falmouth, Cornwall once we turned north at Cabo de São Vicente we had a flat calm for four days.

I've never experienced so many days of a flat calm, but the down side was the sound of the engine went round and round my head.

Stepping into the cockpit for the 0300 to 0600 watch was rather special, it was shorts and tee shirt warm, and the sunrise was always spectacular.
