Farewell....

......after a brief spell of working at home we travelled north to Angus to join our good friends from Drumbeg and Mallaig and said goodbye to Sandra. She had been diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago and died last week. Funerals are never easy but you shouldn't have to bury your own kids and watching Roddy and Sandra do so left me with a deep sense of injustice.

On a more positive note, the evening meal was not without comedic story telling and people made the best of a bad situation by being together and supporting one another.

Heading for home now with a heavy heart and a strong sense that 2013 has not been the best of years.
