One Man and His Dog

Heavy rain this morning and more fog over the downs. The school run went smoothly, even though poor Gubs had a minor crisis over missing history homework. After that, a busy morning at work. The weather transformed around midday, with warm sun and blue skies—a welcome reprieve from the gloom—but a few hours later, the clouds and rain drew in again. I managed to get out at lunchtime, while the good weather lasted, to capture the lovely autumn light before it vanished. Dash has been on a school theatre trip to see An Inspector Calls in Eastbourne, and his coach arrived back in the evening… luckily, just in time for me to give him a lift home after my late shift.
