Bearded man of Gayfield Place
I had an action-packed morning that mainly comprised exercising, taking a phone call from the auctioneer about three Pre-Raphaelite drawings, shopping for groceries, and helping with several loads of laundry.
I also popped up to the library to collect a reserved book and renew three others. On the way there I spotted this bearded man above a doorway on Gayfield Place. I must have passed it hundreds of times before, but this is the first time that I have ever noticed it.
This afternoon I had a series of telephone conversations with my sisters about the news from the auctioneer, answered emails, welcomed Bruce for a cup of tea and a long chat (with wee festive presents exchanged), and started preparations for tomorrow evening's dinner with Jon.
I'm grateful for a sit-down this evening.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; 45 minutes intervals run; walking (20,019 steps including run).
