Kirkcaldy

Relaxed morning, bacon roll and coffee for breakfast and I did an hour of marking just to keep on top of things.

In the afternoon, busboy and I went out for a wee run in the car to Kirkcaldy and round our childhood streets and walked round the little square where Dad last lived. Saw the new houses on the land where my high school used to be. Then a what’s-becoming-regular visit to the Dunhelm shop and got a couple of bits and bobs - one to take back to Largs with me to add a splash of colour to my mum-in-law’s new home and a cushion for the chair in busboy’s bedroom, bought for the same reason. Nothing to go back to Barcelona this time. Our backpacks are full!

Out for dinner in the early evening, back to Kirkcaldy to Marino’s Italian restaurant. Good as always. Bb and I have a bit of a soft spot for this place.
