Sodden hell.....

It's rather upsetting, to hear that James Alexander Gordon, voice of 5 Live's footie results on a Saturday, has retired due to throat cancer.

I met him once, at a party at Doris' house. It's a long story (with which I won't bore you) but it involved a Radio quiz, free beer at the Caledonian Brewery, four men wearing Viking helmets, a metal bull, and a bunch of strangers from Preston...

He was a charming man, with a great sense of humour and humility..... I hope he recovers soon.
