Return to Batemans.

I have waited a long time to visit Battle Abbey, but for a variety of reasons I haven’t made it. Today was to be the day. Lunch made, flasks filled, camera equipment packed, I went online to check directions. Only to find it is  CLOSED on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. We will be home Friday so Saturday is out of the question. 

Change of plans, we went to Batemans, the home of Rudyard Kipling. We have been there several times, but we enjoyed a lovely walk in the warm sunshine, even sitting on a garden bench to enjoy our lunch.
