Today was another house full of noise... in fact we exchanged the roar of ripping out for the serenade of jackhammers, as part of what turned out to be a solid concrete floor was lifted to make way for some underfloor heating pipes, and a sunken shower tray. So we left...
We spent the sunny part of the day wandering Dyrham Park, and I tracked down a couple of the newly re-established fallow deer stags. They were having a quiet moment together under the beechwood, and curiously eyed me as I silently tiptoed in across all the crunchy beech leaves and crackly twigs, lol.
After I left them to it, I mentioned their position to a couple of other folk with cameras. Of course, they stomped in with enthusiasm, and as I looked back all I could see were the white tails as the deer scarpered. One simply does not stomp towards fallow deer...
