Father and offspring

I've been wanting a shot of the Cassowary male with the chick in the same shot (the male looks after the chick, the mother is in a separate pen as she would kill it) and today the light was good and so Rob and I both went to Birdland. With the help of a keeper who let us close to  the wire and then provided some grapes to tempt the birds (who were playing hard to get) into a good position, we got our shots. 
You can see how it has grown. It's nearly three months old now.
