To the ice cave
A beautiful clear sky day and perfect t for a mountain walk in Durmitor.
We set off the ‘ice cave walk’ - an up and round loop with the promise of ice!
The route up was actually quite tricky, lots of boulder hopping, scrambling up steep rocky sections, and some horrible screw (which was probably better going up than coming down). But the view and changing scenery were stunning. And the ice cave - more an ice hole really - was deep and dark! The route down surprised us a bit as we were looking at a ‘hill’ on the map which turned out to be a hole! Oops - poor map reading!!
A grand day out and beer reward at the end.
