Beauty in Miniature…..

Leptospermum, aka Manuka. Such lovely, tiny flowers that flower from spring until summer. It is part of the Myrtle family and is also known as “Tea Tree”. This pink shaded Manuka is growing along with some white flowered ones amongst some native plantings next to the Taylor River. Even though it was very early, it was busy along the river tracks. I counted more than 20 dogs with their owners during our walk.
Lunched in a nice cafe in town with Margaret and Emily. A little earlier Emily came with me to Animates where I bathed Maisie.
Sadly Margaret and Emily flew back to Wellington this evening.
