I just finished this painting this morning. It shows some of the "state" things in Michigan,

From our Upper Peninsula down, we have:
1. The state tree...the Eastern White Pine.
2. The state gem...the Isle Royale Greenstone.
3. The state wild flower...the Dwarf Lake Lily.
4. The state fish...the Brook Trout.
5. The state stone...the Petoskey Stone.
6. The state animal...the Whitetail Deer.
7. The state flower...the Apple Blossom.
8. The state reptile...the Painted Turtle.
9. The state bird...the Robin.
