Ukraine has begun planting forests in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. They’d covered about 70 hectares. The goal is to help restore the area impacted by radioactive contamination and fires in September. Fighting the fire was harder due to unexploded mines.
This will sound familiar from last winter. Ukrainian troops will get assistance from Europe for winter gear. Germany promised 217 million euros. The Baltic states and Norway promised a 44 m euro package. Germany, Canada, Sweden, and Norway, ie countries that know cold, have already delivered hundreds of thousands of winter kits including jackets, gloves, and socks. Russian soldiers are pleading online for basic winter supplies. Last year 30% of Russian soldiers hospitalized in Gorlovka were there for frostbite.
Nov 5 Russia tried to send a drone to Ukraine but instead they hit the upper floors of one of their buildings, ie Russia bombed itself.
