Birthday Girl

After all yesterday’s activity, today was much quieter and more relaxed. My friend Rosemary popped round for a coffee and to try out our Swyft sofa bed (she’s planning to buy one).
She gave me a lift into town for my Yes Tweeddale committee meeting and then after my meeting, I caught the X62 bus to Galashiels. My friend and former boss had invited me and another one of my former Newbattle colleagues to her house for lunch. She’d cooked up a storm and we had a lovely afternoon siting next to her open fire, chewing the fat. Home briefly and then back out tonight to Saffron in Innerleithen to celebrate Jodie’s birthday (son no 2’s partner). I was very impressed. The food was excellent. Mr P had baked his lemon polenta cake which we enjoyed once we were back home.
