Fisherman

We've had almost constant grey and overcast weather for about a fortnight and though it's not been cold or wet it's not been very exciting. Today there was a few breaks in the cloud when we went for a bike ride and the potential for one later in the day.

The dog had a short walk in the morning so we could go for a bike ride and then we took him to the beach in the hope the tide would be right for him and we may get another break in the cloud. We seemed to have timed it rather well so I took rather a lot of pictures, and then had the problem of selecting the best one. Even adding a few extras was a challenge to select the best that I liked.

Anyhow we got to the rocks, which is our turning point and a few friends were walking along one of the rocks with fishing tackle, so I did hope I'd get a decent shot of them against the sky, and the result is the main picture, which I think is pretty good. In this case I selected the one with the lone fisher man, his two mates had gone back to the beach and were out of shot. The extras are looking into the setting sun from a few different points using the beach as a mirror - which I like. Finally there is one very wide shot, which is really too wide to process, but it's fun.

The dog was very happy with his walk and had a good time - and apparently the sea is still wet - he checked for us.
