Small Club
As fungi go, this one - the wrinkled club fungus - is really simple. No hat or gills, just a tiny club-shaped stem, about 6 cm long, sometimes with a few branches. I guess they love the wet November weather we’ve had so far, constantly damp, but without frost.
There was a little group of these fungi near the veterinarian clinic where our poor old Munni-cat had a checkup today.
We don’t have the bloodwork results yet, but already we know that she’ll have to go back soon. The vet detected a heart murmur, so we got an appointment with the clinic’s cardiologist in three weeks.
