LEVENS "NO" DEER PARK AND MINI BLIP MEET

A lovely day today.   Hubby and I were meeting up with Gladders and Mrs Gladders at lunch time today in  Levens Kitchens, so we decided we would go for a walk in the Deer Park first.  

It was a lovely walk amongst all the autumnal colours, nearly all on the floor now and no sign of the deer anywhere today - probably across the other side of the river. There were a herd of goats though and 2 herons on the river.

We arrived just before 10.00 and on the way to the far end of the deer park we meet one couple with two gorgeous friendly dogs and then no=one else till right at the end when a lady with her two lovely little dogs came down over the stile, otherwise just us.

We walked on up to the bridge over the A590 and then turned round and walked back.  There lovely blue skies and sun - yippee.  

We arrived at Levens Kitchens early so went in and had a coffee and some cake may also have been consumed (the smallest one I could find for me) and one of their own raspberry jam doughnuts for Hubby.

Then later on we were joined by Gladders and Mrs Gladders.  It was so lovely to see them.  We had a nice lunch and a really good catch up.  So good in fact that I totally forgot to take a photo of them for blip, so please accept my apologies for that.  

We are now back home and they are on their way back to Yorkshire.  It was so good to see them.  We should have seen them when in Pickering but couldn't because of me not being well and I wouldn't risk passing anything on to them.
