Hiding the Patch

Ellie had no school today so she spent the day with me. We did a little shopping and then came back here to build some clay figures from a kit Ellie got for her birthday. We used an App for step-by-step directions for the clay provided; it clearly showed each step in making the bear and the deer. The bear looks reasonably close to the original picture but the deer's legs didn't hold up the bulky body so we decided he should lie down, that worked. We worked together and I was pleasantly impressed with Ellie's creative skills. For a 7-year-old, she was dedicated and capable... with my help.  

Her baths are limited at her house, so she was excited to take a long leisurely bath here; she still likes to play with a few bath toys and makes up fantastical stories with her little characters. 

I took her home at bedtime and she went in and brushed her teeth and finished her bedtime routine before her grandpa and grandma got home from the gym. Good girl, Ellie.
