The Calm...

...before the storm! I though the weather at home could turn on a sixpence but only 5 minutes after this shot the thunder and lightening started and the heavens opened. Luckily we were finishing our tour of this beautiful site by then.

We headed for Bushmills Distillery, paid and duly waited for our tour to start. And the rain got heavier, and heavier and heavier (with a few large hailstones thrown in for good measure). The tour was delayed so the 12 year old malt was opened and dished out with a smile and a welcome. But the weather persisted and sadly there was a lot of flash flooding in many of their buildings and the gift shop which resulted in the tour being canceled and refunded. However it was all handled so well and we were treated so well, you felt as though you had just popped round to a pal's for a drink so no harm done.

Stuart heading home tomorrow afternoon, things to be done before getting ready for his working week (including a haircut son!!!). But I think we will head to Antrim Castle Gardens first and have a spot of lunch out.
