It Rained!!

That’s big news around here. Staying inside gave me the opportunity to try and order a new microwave on line. Ours just stopped working the other day. We want a small unit, but one that can accommodate our 11” plates. I am old enough to remember the experience of Going To a Store and being able to actually see and handle an item; to, for instance, bring along the plate and see if it fits. Maybe there are some youngsters out there who don’t know about stores—places where you could go to buy things, where there were people who knew about the products and could help you choose, where real items were on display for your viewing pleasure. Ah, old fart that I am, all that is left to me is to reminisce about the old days. You can find the outer measurements of a microwave, although they differ for the same model depending on which site you’re on. Sometimes there is inner, or cavity, data, also variable. Some sites are quite clear that you cannot return a small appliance, even if they were wrong about the size. Some sites let you return, but, alas, do not have the item in stock. I haven’t even begun to give you an idea, but I probably don’t have to. It’s always the same, and we all have been there. Mr S suggests the problem is ours, and we simply need to get new plates.
