Wet squirrel
A rainy, gray Remembrance Day. This squirrel was having his breakfast at the feeder this morning and you can see the droplets of rain on his fur and whiskers.
I spent some more time packing and sorting thru things. Now that the downstairs bedroom is empty I can use it to put things that have been sorted. I have a few boxes there already of things that will be donated to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. They come and pick it up.
When I posted the desk and the beds to give away, one guy messaged me to say he wanted the desk and he could pick it up today. He was also interested in one of the beds. To make my life easier, I told him that if he loaded the bed onto the back of my truck, I would deliver it for him, since he lives just around the corner. He took the desk apart and put it in his roommate's car. Then we put the bed in the back of the truck and took it to where he is living now. The guy that picked up the twin sized bed put the mattress in his car yesterday and took it home. He came back today for the box spring. He had it in the back of his car, but could not close the trunk. He is African and was too scared to drive with the trunk open, he seemed to think the cops would pull him over. So he left it here and I will end up putting it out for garbage pickup.
I have some extra Christmas decorations and would have sent them to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, then I seen a post on FB that someone wants some decorations so I told her that she could have them and I will make arrangements to meet her later this week.
It is nice to know that my customers care about me. Several of them have emailed me over the past couple of weeks to check to make sure that I am alright, as they haven't heard from me since mid to late August. I told them that I have been busy with some bigger jobs and am running a couple of weeks late getting the cleanups done. They are very understanding.
Tomorrow night a friend and I are going to the Celtic Thunder concert.
