Learning things.

What a busy day I have had. I was rushed off my feet at work, I left late and rushed to pick up my boys, I rushed to cook dinner and then rushed out again to Photography Club.  And this is the only picture I took.  

However, I had a chance to sit down this evening and listen to the wonderful Scottish landscape photographer, Damian Shields, speak of his inspiration, his wonderful images and the kit and how he goes about planning and prepping for a shoot.  Including use of this clever app, Photoephemeris, where you can pinpoint a location, the date you want to go and it will tell you lots of useful things like when the sunrise, golden hour sunset etc will be. Very clever and a new one to me. 

I simply don't have the time to dedicate to landscape photography but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy his wonderful images and use of light to create something magical. Very inspiring.
